Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that in coming days Gorakhpur will be developed as a textile hub. He also said that the focus will be on apparel industry in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
The initiative of the Government will help create jobs for the local workers. Notably, in recent months, around 11,500 migrants working in textile and apparel units have come back to Gorakhpur and adjoining districts.
In a discussion with the representatives of the Chamber of Industries (COI) of Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister also informed that the State Government is also planning to start a big training centre in Gorakhpur.
“Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) is also working to increase the land bank for industrial units and so bigger industrialists should also come forward to invest,” he said.
It is also pertinent to mention here that recently Vishnu Prasad Ajitsaria, President and SK Agarwal, former President of Chamber of Industries, Gorakhpur had given a memorandum to Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of the state, in this regard.
