Myntra is planning big! The fashion e-commerce retailer said that it plans to set up 30 experience centres in next 5 months across major cities where consumers can receive order and try on items, in its endeavour to enhance customer experience.
Started as a pilot a few months ago in Bengaluru, the Flipkart-owned firm has now set up five experience centres in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
The online marketplace has opened these centres at the right time to facilitate its End of Reason Sale (EORS) later this month.
“We started the pilot a few months ago with an experience centre in a Bengaluru tech-park where we receive a large number of orders. At these centres, we will offer value-added services like order pickup, instant returns, trial room and alterations of products,” Myntra Jabong Head Amar Nagaram said.
This will not only facilitate better customer experience but will also bring down cost of returns as the consumers can now receive faster replacements, Nagaram added. He confirmed that Myntra aims to expand the number from 5 to 30 in the next few months across various metro cities.
Myntra’s EORS is slated to be held from 21 to 24 June. “This will be the 10th edition of EORS and it will be the biggest ever as we expect to get over 2.2 million unique customers. Over 5.5 lakh customers are expected to buy on Myntra for the first time, shopping from over 3,000 brands,” he said.
Tier-II and -III cities and towns remain an important area of focus for Myntra with around 50 per cent of sales expected to be generated from these regions.
The online major is making all efforts to facilitate last-mile delivery of packages and is focusing on strengthening the kirana partners (mom and pop retail stores) network.
“We expect over 8 million products to be ordered for EORS 10 with the platform geared to handle 12,000 orders per minute at peak… we have expanded our kirana network to over 12,500 stores to manage 70 per cent of the deliveries for EORS 10,” he concluded.
