Leading e-commerce marketplace Amazon India is geared up to bring one of its biggest sales – Amazon Prime Day sale 2020 on 6 and 7 August.
Ahead of the big sale, the company recently announced the launch of a new specialised warehouse or fulfillment centre for furniture and large appliances in Ludhiana, Punjab, expanding its warehouse network.
Located in Doraha in Ludhiana district, the new fulfillment centre will have a storage space of almost 3 lakh cubic feet.
With this, there will be two warehouses by the company in Ludhiana – with a total storage capacity of over 4.5 lakh cubic feet.
The e-commerce giant shared in a statement recently that the new launch “will allow Amazon.in to offer its fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service to thousands of small and medium businesses in the state and empower them to gain access to and service customers across the country.”
With the introduction of the new warehouse, Amazon India expects to gain good business during the upcoming Prime Day sale, as it will enable faster delivery of products to shoppers.
