Aiming to break the language barrier for entrepreneurs, micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), local shops and retailers from Tamil Nadu, Amazon on Tuesday announced that sellers on its online platform will now be able to register and manage their e-business in Tamil.
The company further explained that the aforementioned support will include registering as an Amazon seller for the first time, managing orders, inventory management and accessing performance metrics.
Sellers keen to operate in the Tamil language will be able to do so on both the Amazon seller website and its mobile app.
For those who wish to understand the way forward better, Amazon provides Seller Support Services and Seller University videos and tutorials in Tamil.
The latest language support would help over 43,500 existing sellers on the online platform, underlined Amazon. There’s more – it will also benefit new sellers from Tier-1 and below cities in Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Salem and Ranipet.
It was stated in a recent release that the e-commerce major had got expert linguists onboard to ensure a better experience in Tamil language, which saw thousands of new Amazon sellers from markets like Darbhanga in Bihar, Barmer in Rajasthan, Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh, Hailakandi in Assam and Bardhaman in West Bengal sign up on the Amazon.in marketplace.
