The Launchpad programme by Amazon will allow start-ups and small businesses to introduce and offer unique and differentiated products across multiple categories including health & personal care and home products.
The forthcoming sale event will also provide an opportunity to artisans and women entrepreneurs from ‘Karigar’ and ‘Saheli’ to offer deals on handmade products from Tribes India, Blue pottery by Aditya Blue Pottery and Jewelry from Giva among others.
Sellers on Karigar store will showcase more than 270 crafts sourced from artisans across India.
Government emporiums, APCO handlooms from Andhra Pradesh and Mrignayanee from Madhya Pradesh will be showcasing hand-woven apparels ranging from Mangalgiri, Venkatgiri and Chirala to Maheshwari and Chanderi, the statement added.
“It (Amazon Prime Day sale) provides an opportunity for the smallest of businesses to participate, rebound from recent challenges and grow their business,” shared Pranav Bhasin, Director – Seller Experience, Amazon India.
“Sellers look forward to Prime Day to introduce new products each year, and we are seeing a two times increase in the number of products being launched by SMBs and start-ups on this Prime Day,” he further stated.
