E-commerce giant Flipkart has partnered with Lifestyle Group’s Max Fashion ahead of the festive season as retailers prepare for a surge in demand for categories like fashion.
The e-tailer will host ‘The Max Fashion store’ on the website with more than 13,000 styles to choose from at an affordable price point below Rs. 1,000.
The partnership will extend to the annual Big Billion Days sale and will allow Max Fashion to access a wider market, making their products across categories like womenswear, menswear, kidswear, accessories and footwear available to newer geographies and pin codes.
This move is in line with Max Fashion’s plan to tap the Tier-2 plus cities as online shopping is catching on as a trend in these cities.
“To reach as many customers as possible, we have been rapidly growing both our retail stores footprint as well as our online presence. This partnership with Flipkart is the next step in this direction — this enables us to expand our presence and reach the next 200 million customers who live in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and provide them access to our amazing fashion at unbelievable prices,” said Shital Mehta, CEO, Max Fashion India & Managing Director, Lifestyle International Pvt. Ltd.
Flipkart is not the only one expanding the purview of its platform, Amazon has also expanded its fulfillment centres, warehousing and logistics facilities ahead of the festive season wherein all retailers expect a substantial demand for goods despite the pandemic.
Max Fashion, on the other hand, is expanding its omnichannel presence for which Flipkart seems to be an apt partner. The Lifestyle Group entity has over 375 stores in 130 cities across India.
