
E-commerce platform Meesho achieved a record-breaking start to its festive season sale, reporting a 100 per cent increase in orders compared to the previous year. On the first day of the sale, Meesho witnessed 6.5 crore unique visitors and 1.5 crore app downloads. Remarkably, 45 per cent of the total orders came from first-time customers, reflecting the platform’s growing popularity.
The annual festive season sales for major e-commerce companies, including Amazon and Flipkart, kicked off this weekend. Quick commerce platforms also joined the seasonal rush, aiming to capitalise on this high-demand period.
Meesho’s founder, Vidit Aatrey, expressed his gratitude on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the massive success of the sale and promising even more growth in the days ahead. The sale is expected to continue driving strong customer engagement and further record-breaking numbers.
