As India moves to focus more on domestically made products rather than Chinese, the Government also announced a ban on 58 popular apps such as TikTok and Shein over security concerns.
However, to fulfill the opportunity to provide trendy and affordable clothing for men and women, 15 August will see the launch of WeIN.
The upcoming brand will feature apparels made 100 per cent in India.
WeIN is promoting itself online as an alternative to the popular Shein and will launch next month with a plethora of voguish options in western and ethnicwear, according to an announcement on their Instagram page.
The brand promises a reward system similar to that of Shein but has not disclosed whether it is a part of the Chinese fast fashion retailer or not.
Apart from black and white teaser images of its upcoming launch, the brand’s Instagram page boasts of more than 26,000 followers and is inviting aspiring influencers to send in their portfolio for a chance to collaborate.
Along with a He-In section for men and She-In section for women on the website of WeIN, the brand is promising a ‘Plus for Us’ section which will feature plus size clothing.
