Aiming at a higher retail footfall, fashion-tech brand Newme has announced to have a network of 70 stores by December 2026. They are also targeting to reach a count of 45 physical stores by December 2025 and an additional 20 by the end of the current fiscal year.
The online-first brand marked a significant milestone with its recent offline store launches this year. Accelerating their plans further, Newme is set to open two new stores in Gurugram and Pune within the next month. These stores, ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 square feet, will require an investment of Rs 80 lakh (US $ 94,576) to Rs 1.2 crore (US $ 141,000) each, depending on the location and size.
While Newme has primarily focused on mall-based stores, it is venturing into high-street locations as well, as evidenced by its recent store opening in Surat. The brand is targeting both Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities for its expansion.
Along with the physical store expansion, the fash-tech brand is also prioritizing domestic manufacturing. The company plans to establish its own factories in India to strengthen its supply chain and reduce reliance on external manufacturers.
