With effect from 1st October 2024, Rajiv Sharma will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Archroma, a global leader in speciality chemicals towards sustainable solutions. Sharma will hold primary responsibility for the Textile Effects division. Mark Garrett, the Group’s current CEO, will join the Archroma Board of Directors.
Rajiv is a proven visionary who has driven worldwide growth via sustainability, innovation, and strong financial management. He is the appropriate leader for a forward-thinking corporation with roots dating back over two and a half centuries, said Garrett.
Miguel Kohlmann, the Chairman of Archroma’s Board of Directors, stated, “We have an inspiring global leader in Rajiv who has demonstrated experience in delivering long-term growth.”
Rajiv Sharma joins Archroma after a 14-year career with Coats Group plc, the last 8 of which he spent as Group Chief Executive. Leading the UK-listed firm that leads the globe in thread manufacturing and structural components for clothing and footwear, Sharma established a foundation for profitable expansion and moulded a customer-focused, innovative, digital, and sustainable corporate culture.
