Jaipur-based leading domestic player Nandani Creation Limited (JaipurKurti.com) has announced period (menstrual) leave policy for its women employees.
Period leave of 1 day for each month will be available to the women workforce, amounting to a total of 12 leaves annually. These leaves will be over and above the regular leaves and holidays.
The brand is dedicated to women and engaged in women ethnicwear. Going along with the feminist approach, their workforce too majorly consists of women – of the total 200+ employees that the company has, 120 are women.
In a statement, the NSE-listed company, known for its e-commerce and retail ethnicwear brand Jaipurkurti.com, has said that it is moving towards building a culture of acknowledgment for women’s organic necessities.
Taking a step towards building a healthy workforce, based on trust and compassion, and understanding the biological needs of women employees, the company has announced period leaves for its female employees.
Anuj Mundhra, CMD of the company, said “The period leave will be accessible every month to all the women employees of the organisation. Our female employees can take benefit of their period leaves at their sole discretion and to which specific day they want to avail it.
Recently, the company made the big announcement of its migration from NSE Emerge to NSE Main Board. By the year 2023, it will expand its offline retail stores’ count to 20-25.
