Efforts of the apparel and textile industry to help the society overcome COVID-19 continue!
Tirupur Exporters Forum (TEF) and Dyers Association of Tirupur (DAT) have come up with a 100 oxygenated bedded facility in Tirupur that’s dedicated to district administration in the medical college campus of Tirupur.
Apart from all basic facilities, nutritious meal is being also provided to the patients admitted here. Tirupur’s various textile and apparel companies have donated generously for this noble cause.
MK Stalin, CM of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated this facility. Many other ministers and senior officials were also present on this occasion.
Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan, Tirupur’s Collector, also helped a lot in this initiative.
R. Sakthivel, Coordinator of the Forum who took the lead with other team members of TEF said, “CM MK Stalin and his ministers were very happy and proud as we set up this facility. Along with our members, The Tirupur Corona Fighters Team also put lot of efforts in making this facility come live.”
It is also pertinent to mention here that just a few days back, NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Institute had also started the Covid care centre in Tirupur.
