Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Industries Minister, Bihar met Piyush Goyal, Union Textiles Minister in Delhi and urged for 2 textile parks in Bihar.
The Bihar Minister mentioned that for an agriculture-dominated state like Bihar, it could be tough to rearrange 1,000 acres of land at one place.
Notably, Bihar has two land parcels of 200 acres for each textile park, and if the Centre accepts Bihar’s demand, then two textile parks could be instantly developed in the state.
Hussain also demanded that ethanol models of Bihar additionally ought to get advantages of the Centre’s subsidy scheme and the financing scheme of banks, along with the seven-year tripartite settlement amongst ethanol models, banks and oil advertising and marketing firms (OMC) for 100 per cent buy-back of ethanol.
The Minister also added that the meeting was very fruitful as there was constructive response from the Union Minister to the demand for two textile parks in Bihar.
It is pertinent to mention here that Bihar is also finalising its textile policy and attracting investors across India.
