Chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved for signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Textiles Committee, India and Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre, Japan.
As per official information, the MoU would enable Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre, Japan in assigning Textile Committee as their cooperative testing and inspection service providers in India for textile and apparel products including technical textiles and any other products mutually agreed upon at a later date for both domestic and overseas clients and buyers.
The MOU will facilitate Indian exports to meet the requirements of Japanese importers as per technical regulation imposed by Japan. This will help exporters expand their market in Japan and boost Indian textiles and apparel exports to Japan.
Under Government of India, Textile Committee has wide network of around 50 offices across India, while Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre is a 72-year-old organisation having stronghold on testing and inspection in various product fields, with knowledge, technology and good network.
It is pertinent to mention here that Japan has always been highly quality-conscious with most of the Japanese clients insisting on 100 per cent inspection. Notably, India’s leading apparel manufacturing hub Jaipur mainly works with Japan-based buyers.
Thankful to PM @narendramodi Ji & Union Cabinet for approving MoU between Textiles Committee of @TexMinIndia & M/s. Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre, Japan for strengthening the network of quality & compliance services to ensure growth of trade in Textile & Apparel segment.
