As physical shows start taking place again across the globe, India also gears up for the same and many organisers have even announced dates of their shows.
The 16th edition of Knit Tech, one of the leading technology shows, is scheduled to take place from 18 to 21 March at Tirupur – India’s biggest hub for knitted garments.
Tirupur and other apparel and textile hubs of Tamil Nadu are also eagerly waiting for the show as it will be the first-ever physical technology show in this region post COVID-19. Knit Tech is one of the best-organised shows and has a large range of textile and garment manufacturing machines on display.
The show will be organised in an area spanning 20,000 sq. metres.
M.A. Rayappan, Chairman, Hi Tech International Trade Fair (organiser of Knit Tech) told Apparel Resources, “There will be more than 250 exhibitors from across the globe and this year we have much focus on the machines/technology to support MMF segment as textile industry has thrust on the same.”
He further added that Covid protocol will be strictly followed at the show and enough steps will be taken to ensure social distancing and hygiene.
“Growing number of new brands in the India domestic market is a positive sign and it also shows that market is enthusiastic,” he said.
More than 10 leading trade bodies of Tamil Nadu’s apparel and textile industry are supporting the event.
