In the series of cancellation of trade fairs across the globe, the 49th edition of Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF Delhi Fair-Spring 2020) has also got postponed.
Organised by Export Promotion Services & Supporting Council Handicrafts (EPCH), the event was scheduled to take place from 15 to 19 April 2020.
“It has now been decided that due to the COVID 19 threat, the 49th IHGF Delhi Fair-Spring 2020 has been postponed. We will keep you informed whenever new advances come up,” EPCH said.
It is pertinent to mention here that IHGF is amongst Asia’s largest gifts & handicrafts fair, held biannually (Spring & Autumn edition). Thousands of handicraft exporters, including apparels and home furnishing, across India, used to participate in this event and get good business from global as well as Indian buyers.
Earlier on 5 March, Rakesh Kumar, DG, EPCH had informed that the IHGF Delhi fair will take place as scheduled and this was decided after a meeting with important officials and exporters of the country.
