Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh will be inaugurating the 71st edition of the India International Garment Fair (IIGF) on 25th June 2024 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre Dwarka, New Delhi.
With the assistance of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and three significant Indian garment associations—the Garment Exporters & Manufactures Association (GEMA), the Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR), and the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI)—the International Garment Fair Association (IGFA) is organising the fair.
Commenting on the 71st Edition of IIGF Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman AEPC and IGFA said, “The mere fact that we are organising the 71st Edition of IIGF is a testimony in itself that this is one the most successful reverse BSMs for promoting garment exports from India. The decline in the apparel exports has been arrested and we have registered around 10 per cent growth in the month of May 2024. As we are seeing a spike in demand from across the world from the last two months, this fair presents to us the opportunity of harnessing the potential arising from the growth in demand.”
Speaking on the 71st Edition of IIGF Mithileshwar Thakur, Secretary General AEPC said, “The objective of IIGF is to provide a marketing platform to micro, small and medium exporters to showcase latest garment and fashion accessories trends and the range and variety of India offerings to the rest of the world.”
The total gross area used to organise this edition of the IIGF is around 18,000 square metres. During the show, over 350 exporters will have their products on display. More than fifty countries’ worth of overseas buyers have confirmed their attendance at this year’s show. Menswear, womenswear, accessories, childrenswear, knitwear, and sustainable/recycled clothing will all be on display from the participating designers. This fair will serve the needs of the 2025 spring and summer seasons.
