The Indian Runway Week’s second season is slated to be held from 18 to 21 October and the Indian Federation of Fashion Development (IFFD) has announced that it will take place in a virtual format.
The virtual edition of the show is taking it to the next level by embracing the power of social media to showcase the various presentations by designers across social platforms.
The 4-day event will witness the likes of Laconet Hemant, Ashima Leena, AMIT GT, Varija Bajaj, Saaj by Ankita and Peeli Kothi by Ambica amongst others, bringing forth their latest designs for all to access through any social media channel.
The show will have an interactive digital reach along with an ecosystem where designs, media and buyers can engage.
IFFS is also expecting to hold the auditions for models via Instagram using the hashtag #CastMeIRW.
IFFD had held a similar edition of the India Runway Week last year on Instagram wherein 35 designers had participated.
Commenting on the digital edition of India Runway Week, Avinash Pathania, founder of the event, said in a statement, “We started this virtual fashion week in 2019 under India Runway Week banner, before anyone. This time we will set a benchmark to it and I promise you that at India Runway Week, Virtual Edition of Season 2, you will get to witness 100 per cent virtual fashion shows.”
