Texanlab, an independent third-party testing company, has recently inaugurated its new (expanded) testing lab in Gurgaon (India). The inauguration was done by Eric Hopmann, CEO, DyStar Group and Jayant Khera, VP South Asia, DyStar Group being chief guest of the function.
Gurgaon, being the major export hub of Northern India was the reason for the company to open the testing lab with extended facilities. The lab was originally located in Okhla (Delhi) but later on the company decided to shift in Gurgaon for the better service of its customers.
The newly expanded facility will help in testing of textile, home textiles, leather and footwear, artificial jewellery, toys and more. Apart from testing like colour fastness, physical, wet and chemical testing this new lab also provides the REACH and GOTS certification. The facility is equipped with machines from global equipment manufacturing brands like James Heal, SDL & Agilent and Q Sun USA.
Texanlab serves clients from US, EU and UK like Arcadia, John Lewis, JD Williams, River Island, Indiska, Mango, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Jeans, PVH, Urban etc.
Vinod Kumar, General Manager and Global Head, Texanlab, told Apparel Resources that “Apart from providing testing facilities we also provides technical guidance, training and lab visits. Moreover, we conduct trainings, give lab visits to students to help them, learn about the different testing methods as well as impart technical know-how and solution to other companies.”
Texanlab is a subsidiary of DyStar and is nominated by more than 50 global brands and retailers having testing laboratories at Mumbai and Tirupur in India.
