Launched in India a few months back, Vibemac showcased its ‘Double Colour Technology’ in jean manufacturing to the Mumbai industry. This unique technology makes it possible to stitch with two different colour threads, stitch lengths and thread thickness in one shot. This technology is available on the pocket setter model 2516V4 with the possibility to make the jigs directly at the factory workshop, saving a lot of money and time. For J-stitch, Vibemac offers 1010V4F1 in Double Colour Technology; this stitches around 300 Js per hour without depending on operator skills.
Other interesting technology from Vibemac were the V100H a double head pocket creaser that creases even the pockets of irregular shapes independently and the 1010V4DCS, back pocket decorative unit that has an unloader and stacker which allows one operator to easily run two machines at the same time, thereby increasing the productivity by 25%. The new V700 back pocket hemming unit has the speed to hem 2000 pockets per hour on every kind of fabric, any size/shape of pockets without making any adjustment to the machine.
Automation is the key word at EH Turel and the company is very upbeat of its technology offerings that are positioned to save on manpower and operation time, the two critical factors that are on premium. “We are always looking to fulfil the needs of the industry and each segment has different requirements. On one hand we have high-end automated solutions from Vibemac, Italy and at the other dependable and economical sewing options from Typical, China,” says Viraf Turel, MD, EH Turel & Co.
In the product profile of Typical are some basic machines and some automated options for manufacturers looking to upgrade technology. Among the most popular machines from the range is the GC180ME3-high speed, single needle, lockstitch sewing machine with automatic thread trimmer and stitching speed of 5000 RMP. According to Tehmasp Bharucha, Branch Manager, EH Turel repeat orders for the Typical brand is very high as the machine despite being a Chinese make is consistent in quality and is backed by excellent after-sales-service. “Typical has been in the Indian market for the past 10 years and we have created a service network that is very strong. The image of the brand is ‘value for money’,” he says.
Some of the other technologies available with Typical include direct drive sewing machines and TC130-1306M/H electronic floral patterns sewing machine which has unique cloth pressers for easing stitching of trademarks. The machine is able to stitch both soft and hard trademarks of various types on jackets and suits in zigzag and heartbeat stitches. Keeping pace with the emerging needs of the industry Typical is set to launch a ‘green line’ of sewing machines by the end of this year.
