Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reiterated to develop Ballari (Karnataka) as a leading jeans manufacturing hub where all necessary facilities will be ensured for jeans manufacturers.
Addressing an election rally at Ballari, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pledged to make Ballari a ‘jeans capital’. He wants to see the day when anybody wearing jeans will have ‘Made in Ballari’ written on it.
Rahul, the former Congress chief also promised to set up an apparel park in Ballari with an investment of Rs. 5,000 crore.

It is pertinent to mention here that prior to this during the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by him, Rahul has assured to support jeans manufacturing hub Ballari and to make Ballari jeans a global brand.
Ballari a leading jeans manufacturing cluster, is struggling due to various challenges and not growing as per its potential. Apart from supplying jeans to various Indian cities, it also exports to various countries.
