Having the experience of working with buyers like Billabong, Element, Umbro, Oxbow, IKKS, La Redoute, 3 Suisses, Rivaldi, Ritchi, Ted Lapides, the SA 8000 certified Yercaud (Tamil Nadu), International Trading Company is doubling its capacity of 88 flat knitting machines by adding another 100 flat knitting machines and whose production will begin by November/December 2013. The present capacities of the company are 20,000 pieces per month in 12 GG and 16,000 pieces per month in 3 GG to 10 GG.
“We are investing almost US $ 4 million for the factory, which is setup in an area of 30,000 square metres. To strike a balance with investment and quality, we will use Japanese as well as Chinese machines. Apart from flat knitting machines, linking and finishing machines will also be installed,” says Zahir Sait, Managing Partner. With the total turnover of Rs. 25 crore, the company is expecting 200 per cent growth and has a target of achieving Rs. 75 crore in the coming year.
