
The University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development (UIFT & VD) of Punjab University has launched a website where students would be able to sell their creative works online.
Startups.com would extend businesses opportunities for students to sell, showcase and promote their creativity in fashion and lifestyle. Moreover, it provides start-up founder with an entrepreneurship course, in addition to having expert advisors and a business software tool.
The inauguration of the website was done by Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the university.
“In these critical times, it is the need of the hour for the students to start their entrepreneurial ventures in order to stay relevant to consumer needs. The students have developed multitasking capabilities, are working from home and becoming self-reliant,” commented, Prabhdip Brar, Chairperson of UIFT&VD.
Furthermore, addressing the various issues and challenges due to the pandemic Professor Raj Kumar in a session with the PhD scholars of science department has assured to help them in every way possible.
