Ahmedabad-based textile company Vatsal Exports LLP is expanding its capacity and exploring more countries to increase its exports.
The company has a strong hold in textiles with a spinning facility of 27,360 spindles, a knitting facility, and a processing capacity of 23 metric tonnes per day and has become vertically integrated, as it has started garment manufacturing recently.
The company now also has capacity for 28,000 pieces of knitted garments per day with 350 stitching machines. The company is offering knitted garments for men, women and kids.
Vatsal Patel, CEO of the company told Apparel Resources, “Along with the opening of a new growth avenue, the basic purpose of starting garments was to be more familiar with what exactly will ultimately be in demand, to understand consumers so we can have the advantage of more growth in spinning and knitting as well.”
In response to increased client demand, the company intends to increase yarn production by 50 metric tonnes per day by increasing installation capacity to 54,320 spindles by April 2024.
The organisation is eagerly waiting for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles 2.0 and desires to expand its spinning & knitting facilities to broaden its yarn as well as fabrics product basket.
Vatsal is of the opinion that knitwear is a thriving business across the globe in Europe, US and many western nations. Nowadays, people are wearing knitted blazers, knitted shirts, and knitted pants etc which are particularly pleasant to wear in daily routine activities to survive through the day with comfort and much ease.
“Besides these there are very few efficient facilities like us in Gujarat that can provide everything under one roof,” says Vatsal .
