Men’s shirt imports from the USA have experienced notable growth in October 2024, as per the latest OTEXA data. According to an analysis done by team Apparel Resources, the men’s shirt imports from the USA are valued at US $ 251.78 million, growing by 3.80 per cent on a Y-o-Y basis.
In terms of volumes, imports amounted to 2.78 million dozen, up 9 per cent on a yearly basis. Bangladesh and India remained the top two exporters of men’s shirts among leading Asian manufacturing hubs.
Bangladesh’s shipment of men’s shirts to the USA grew by 8 per cent on a Y-o-Y basis to US $ 61.19 million; whereas India’s exports fell significantly by 27 per cent in value to US $ 55.12 million.
It’s worth noting here that, despite falling massively, India still remains ahead of Vietnam, China and Indonesia in men’s shirt shipments to the USA.
However, it seems like India’s fall was Vietnam’s gain as the latter upped its men’s shirts shipment to the USA by 28.30 per cent to US $ 41.22 million. Exports from China also fell by 7.40 per cent to US $ 17.69 million in October ’24.
Interestingly, the men’s shirt market size of the USA was valued at US $ 16.40 billion in 2024 as per Statista and it’s growing at 3 per cent CAGR.
