Tamil Nadu-based Netaji apparel is keen to set up a Textile Park in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari.
Ramaswamy Subramanian, CEO of the park, held talks on the proposal to set up a Textile Park in East Godavari district. Hari Kiran, Collector, East Godavari said that the proposal would be shared with the State Government.
Notably, they enquired about the availability of land with the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and other facilities to set up the Textile Park.
The Collector directed the officials concerned to examine the possibility to spare land, at least a parcel of 100 acres, as the project would,in all likelihood, offer more employment opportunities for the locals.
If such a park starts in the district, several units of spinning and processing would come up – generating good number of jobs.
East Godavari is a leading district of Andhra Pradesh. It is important to mention here that just a few days back, a leading apparel firm Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL) had initiated its garment factory in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa district.
