Vardhman Textiles, Ludhiana, India’s leading textile company, has reported a consolidated profit-after-tax of Rs. 431.51 crore for the third quarter ended December 2021. It also reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 174.85 crore in the year-round period.
As per the regulatory filing, the company’s total income for the quarter under review rose to Rs. 2,666.8 crore as against Rs. 1,806.85 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year (October-December 2020).
However, its total expenses also shot up to Rs. 2,097.62 crore in the same quarter, up from Rs. 1,588.22 crore in the year-ago period.
During the Q321-22, the grey fabric production of the company was 516 lakh metres while the processed fabric production was 439 lakh metres.
The company is known for its innovative yarns and fabrics. It makes greater strides in yarn manufacturing industry with sustainability and expansive product range.
