ROSEROOM by Isha Jajodia’s latest couture offering, La Perlaire – The Pearl Room, draws from the designer’s personal histories and shared traditions. Rooted in memory and inspired by heirlooms passed between generations, La Perlaire presents couture in a manner that celebrates its pieces as both a keepsake and a celebration.
In every home, there is a room that holds more than just furniture; it holds stories. A grandmother’s pearls tucked away in a velvet box, a mother’s lace-edged dupatta worn on her wedding day, the lingering scent of marigolds from celebrations gone by. La Perlaire brings these moments to life in couture.
Each silhouette in the collection offers a refined balance of craftsmanship and concept, where pearls and lace are used not merely as embellishments but as deliberate design elements that carry narrative intent. The collection features sculpted sarees in emerald, crimson and champagne-blush drapes that form a study in emotional storytelling through material and technique.
Bridging the gap between traditional and modern craftsmanship, ROSEROOM’s new collection aims to achieve a sense of timeless sophistication. Details such as hand-embroidered pearls, lace appliqué, precision threadwork and subtle bead detailing feature throughout, with pearls symbolising heritage, lace representing memory and metallic threads emphasising structure and depth.
The focus is on craftsmanship that is both meticulous and meaningful with each piece exemplifying couture’s evolving language- one that values detail, emotion and innovation in equal measure, presenting garments that are technically sound, aesthetically coherent and commercially viable.
“In creating La Perlaire, we wanted to design a space where romance, nostalgia and strength coexist. Woven into each piece is a story, a love letter to the women we come from and the women we are becoming,” Isha Jajodia, Founder and Creative Director, ROSEROOM notes.
