Buying house April Sourcing, Gurgaon known for its inhouse designs and sourcing of scarves, belts, bags, footwear and clothing has increased its sourcing of leather jacket. Though it was sourcing the product earlier also, but in recent times it has increased the same reasonably and the buying house is expecting that it will be a regular product in future also. “Jackets are being sourced mainly for US and UK-based buyers. Being an expensive product we can’t expect too much growth in leather jackets, but we are satisfied with whatever sourcing has increased. Our strong designs are supporting us in this product, like in other segments,” said Monica Tiwari, Design Director of the company that is working mostly with retailers.
Talking about the current market situation, Monica feels that it is still difficult time, so one has to plan accordingly and the company is strategically managing its business at this point of time. Having a list of brands as clients like River Island, Tie Rack, Oasis, Lipsy London, Jones, Top Shop and Miss Selfridge etc., the company also started sourcing two years ago for Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters; receiving good response the team was also increased.
