
The Bio Clean, a Chennai (India)-based garment (wet/dry) process house, is increasing its focus on garment exports. The company forayed into the garment export business a year back.
M. Sakthi, Director of the company told Apparel Resources, “We are shifting focus to garmenting which is also a profitable option. We outsource the garments and supply to three buyers. We offer knits and woven garments along with denim. Jitendria, my son, is handling the garment export mainly. He is adding new buyers from Uruguay, which is also a new market for us.”
In it processing business, The Bio Clean is focusing on the sustainability aspect right from shade matching to different kinds of finishes. This has bagged the company many good orders and it is overbooked at the moment.
“We can process from fibre to garment. We specialise in denim and are enthusiastic about this segment. Currently, we have a production capacity of 6,000 pairs of jeans per day. For regular garments, our capacity stands at 18,000 pieces per day,” informed Sakthi.
Started in 1990, The Bio Clean is working with many top exporters. The company has a compliant processing unit approved by VF Corporation and Zara. It is a nominated service provider by fashion brands like G-Star and s.Oliver.
