In Thiruvananthapuram, a new physical location of the sportswear company Asics has opened on the second floor of the Lulu Mall. With this introduction, the Japanese brand’s retail foothold in Kerala, the state in the south, is strengthened.

The storefront is open, and to the right of it is a sizable digital screen that displays the range of sports that Asics offers. There is a sizable section of the store devoted to running, complete with apparel and shoes for both men and women. Tennis and cricket are among the other sports that are represented in the store.
Originally founded as a basketball shoe maker by Kihachiro Onitsuka, Asics has its headquarters in Kobe, Japan. According to Business Standard, the company uses a combination of franchise stores, multi-brand outlets, its own e-commerce portal, and multi-brand platforms for retail sales in India.
