The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has been named the master developer for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar district by the Central Government.
This park, which is situated in Bhainsola village and spans about 1,563 acres, is a major step towards the government’s goal of creating seven big textile hubs throughout India. MPIDC will be in charge of the park’s management, upkeep, design, and master planning.
This appointment comes after the Madhya Pradesh government asked the Centre to allow MPIDC to start the development process by holding competitive contracts for textile and apparel projects. Shared facilities, training facilities, labs, lodging, and exhibition areas will all be included in the park.
“Our goal is to transform PM MITRA Park into a cutting-edge centre that supports the textile sector and generates employment for residents,” said Rajesh Rathod, executive director of the MPIDC, highlighting the park’s revolutionary potential.
Work on external infrastructure, including electrification, water supply, and road construction, is already under progress. To ensure the smooth execution of this huge project, the project will be handled through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), of which the state government would control 51 per cent and the Centre 49 per cent.
