BSL Limited, a vertically integrated textile company, reported a net loss of Rs 99.24 crore (US $10.4 million) for the quarter ended 31st March 2026, compared to a profit of Rs 118.31 crore (US $12.4 million) in the previous quarter (QoQ) and a profit of Rs 28.33 crore (US $3 million) in the corresponding quarter of the previous year (YoY).
Revenue from operations for the quarter stood at Rs 147.80 crore ( US $15.5 million), marking a decline of 11.43% QoQ from Rs 166.88 crore (US $17.5 million) and 4.95% YoY from Rs 155.50 crore (US $16.3 million).
In FY ’26, the company, which exports premium suiting, furnishing fabrics and yarn to over 60 countries, recorded net sales of Rs 657.04 crore (US $69 million), representing a marginal decline of 1.51% from Rs 667 crore (US $70 million) reported in FY ’25.
The company’s profit after tax for FY ’26 stood at Rs 2.38 crore (US $0.25 million), registering a decline of 70.25% compared to Rs 8 crore (US $0.84 million) in FY ’25, despite relatively stable revenue levels.
BSL Limited has operations spanning spinning, weaving, processing and finishing and specialises in poly viscose, worsted and cotton yarns and fabrics. The company’s stock surged 12.17% to Rs 129 (US $1.35) following the results announcement, though the shares remain 38.26% below their 52-week high of Rs 208.95 (US $2.19).
The company’s operating profit before depreciation, interest, tax and other income (PBDIT excluding OI) fell to Rs 10.08 crore ( US $1.1 million) from Rs 12.43 crore ( US $1.3 million) in the corresponding quarter last year.
The operating margin (excluding other income) also compressed to 6.82%, down from 7.99% in Q4 FY ’25, reflecting mounting cost pressures and margin compression across the business.
Established in 1970 and headquartered in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, the company operates a 45-acre manufacturing facility in Rajasthan with an annual fabric production capacity of over 20 million metres and a yarn manufacturing base comprising more than 59,000 spindles and 400 vortex positions.
