Part of the Aditya Birla Group, Grasim Industries Limited reported strong results for the fourth quarter of FY ’26, with consolidated adjusted profit after tax rising 31% year-on-year to Rs. 2,041 crore (US $212 million), supported by strong revenue and EBITDA performance across key businesses including building materials, financial services, and cellulosic fibres.
The manufacturing company, engaged in textiles, cellulosic fibres, chemicals, paints, and building materials, reported that consolidated revenue for the January–March quarter rose 15% year-on-year to an all-time high of Rs. 51,101 crore (US $5.33 billion), while EBITDA increased 22% to Rs. 8,011 crore (US $835 million), according to the company’s earnings statement.
For the full financial year ended 31st March 2026, Grasim reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs. 1,75,431 crore (US $18.29 billion), compared to Rs. 1,48,478 crore (US $15.48 billion) in FY ’25, marking a growth of 18% year-on-year.
Net profit for FY ’26 stood at Rs. 10,300 crore (US $1.07 billion), higher than Rs. 7,756 crore (US $809 million) reported in FY ’25. Profit attributable to the owners of the parent company came in at Rs. 4,966 crore (US $518 million) for the year. Profit before tax for FY ’26 stood at Rs. 14,473 crore (US $1.51 billion), while total comprehensive income for the year reached Rs. 11,783 crore (US $1.22 billion).
The company also said it will acquire a 26% equity stake in a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up for a renewable hybrid energy project, with the investment amounting to Rs. 30.6 crore (US $3.19 million). The move is part of its broader push to expand its presence in the renewable energy space.
It has also appointed Jaydeep Mondal as Vice President & Unit Head to strengthen its management team, in line with the company’s focus on manufacturing, plant operations, process improvement, and sustainable industrialisation.
Before joining Grasim Industries Limited, Mondal served as Senior General Manager & Unit Head at Coromandel International Limited, where he played a key role in plant operations, manufacturing excellence, and operational leadership.
