Ashok Leyland has made its first appearance at the technology fair. “We have come here for the first time and to our surprise we have generated serious enquiries,” says Navin Chhachhi, Regional Manager, Prasha Technologies, which now directly handles the market as Original Equipment Assembler for Ashok Leyland Gensets. “Our association has led to better service support and sales push,” claims Manjit Kumar, Officer (Engines), Ashok Leyland.
Power shortage particularly in summers is a common phenomenon in Ludhiana and the industry needs to make arrangements so that its units continue operations unhindered. “We have already installed many generators in numerous units in Ludhiana. As the power situation last year was very bad and the coming summers are not expected to be any better, the industry is preparing itself through us,” adds Manjit.
Ashok Leyland’s generators come in the range of 10-500 kVA. “In case of 2-4 circular machines unit the kVA requirement is 62.5 kVA”, informs Navin. “Our generators use the best alternators from France to ensure best wave formation in the power signals,” he adds. The specialty of Ashok Leyland is low fuel (high speed diesel) consumption which is less by 10-15%, quick service backup and low maintenance cost. “The customer just has to check oil and coolant level regularly for maintenance,” informs Manjit.
