Delhi-based premier apparel export house Saivana Exports has come up with a new unit in Faridabad which is the seventh factory of the company. Spread across 100,000 square feet, this unit will be the new head office of the company.
Rajat Sikka, MD and Co-founder of the company told Apparel Resources, “The facility is a state-of-the-art unit and also has equal thrust on sustainability as it is the first carbon-neutral GREEN building in the area.”
The company has invested around Rs. 10 crore in this unit and it will be tripling its sampling capacity to 180 machines (cut to pack).
The unit also has world-class showrooms for garments and for trims, embroideries and fabrics.
This new factory, having solar panels, will be GOTS, SEDEX and WRAP certified. It also has efficient and smart lighting systems to reduce energy consumption. In future, a mini water harvesting plant will be installed for the preservation of water once fully operational and its carbon footprint will be mapped annually.
Adding new clients and increasing business with existing clients, the company is increasing headcounts across all the departments and having a tilt on product development. A new separate section for fashion designers is being made.
The company is looking at 35 per cent growth this year compared to last year. Its existing head office in Okhla (Delhi) will become a total cut-to-pack factory with the addition of 250 new machines.
