For the third quarter that concluded in December 2024, Arvind Fashions Ltd. (AFL), which sells international labels like Arrow, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger in India, recorded a 58 per cent increase in net profit to US $ 5.5 million.
Compared to US $ 135 million in the same quarter of the prior fiscal year, the company’s revenue for the quarter increased by 7 per cent to US $ 146 million.
Shailesh Chaturvedi, the Managing Director and CEO of AFL, commented on the results, highlighting that the company achieved another strong quarter despite a sluggish demand environment across the industry. He noted that the 11 per cent retail like-to-like growth reflects AFL’s strategic investments in enhancing customer experience and celebrity collaboration collections, which contributed to the 7 per cent revenue growth.
He further added that a favorable channel mix, lower discounting, and cost efficiencies led to the highest-ever quarterly EBITDA and a 71 per cent growth in PAT. He emphasised that the company’s strong focus on scaling existing brands is helping them gain market share. Looking ahead, he stated that AFL will remain committed to profitable growth and generating higher ROCE.
In order to reach 947 stores, the firm opened 34 outlets under exclusive brands during the quarter. In FY ’25, it intends to open 150 stores under the Franchise Owned Franchise Operated (FOFO) model.
