
Arvind Ltd., the textile and apparel conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Sunitha Lal as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In her new role, Lal will collaborate with business leaders across the organisation to enhance organisational effectiveness and lead initiatives focused on talent attraction, development, and retention. She will also work on strengthening performance management systems and building a people-centred culture that places employee experience at the heart of human resources practices.
Punit Lalbhai, Vice-Chairman of Arvind Ltd., said that the company was pleased to welcome Lal to the organisation. He noted that her extensive experience in culture, leadership development, and organisational transformation would be valuable as Arvind continues to evolve and expand. He added that her people-first philosophy aligns closely with the company’s values and long-term aspirations.
Before joining Arvind Ltd., Lal served as CHRO at Ather Energy for eight years, where she helped shape the organisation’s culture and supported its growth as a key player in India’s electric vehicle sector. She has also held senior HR roles at Matrimony.com, AIG Systems, and Mphasis, leading initiatives in talent management, HR-business partnering, and organisational development.
