Raghu Krishnananda has resigned as chief product and technology officer of Myntra and will leave the fashion e-commerce giant in the coming weeks.
His departure is the second high-profile IT defection from the Flipkart group, owned by Walmart, in around two months. Krishnananda has been in charge of business intelligence, design, product management, and IT security since joining Myntra a little over five years ago.
The CEO of Myntra, Nandita Sinha, allegedly stated in an internal memo that an instrumental role had been played by him so that a culture of curiosity, innovation, and excellence would be fostered, while also crediting the platform’s technological strategy making it scalable, agile, and closely aligned with the business goals of the company.
Krishnananda’s immediate reports will report to Sinha until a successor is appointed. She added, “The company has started looking for the right talent to take on his responsibilities,” and she wished him luck in “the next chapter of life outside of Myntra.” She also thanked him for his services.
The former Chief Product Officer and Technology officer of Flipkart, which is a sister firm to Myntra, whose name is Jeyandran Venugopal, left the company after serving for 8 years.
Sinha is currently in charge of Flipkart Fashion as a result of Myntra restructuring its organisation and the departure of several important executives in recent months.
