The Central Government initiated its Unlock 1.0 plan from 8 June (Monday), relaxing the coronavirus lockdown to a great extent except in the COVID-19 containment zones.
Soon, shopping malls, after being shut for nearly 2 months since 25 March, too have begun to reopen in the national capital and Noida.
The DLF shopping malls, one of the largest chains of premium shopping malls across the country, began the reopening process from 10 June, of course ensuring the new health and safety measures are strictly followed.
DLF Avenue in Saket reopened to the public on Wednesday (10 June), adhering to the Government rules of opening hours from 11am to 8pm.
Various prominent brands have their stores in the mall, including Biba, Arrow, Forever 21, Desigual, Ritu Kumar, Vero Moda, The Body Shop, Forevermark, Mac Cosmetics, Fossil and Kama Ayurveda, amongst many others.
While DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj restarts operations from today, DLF Mall of India in Noida, one of India’s largest malls, is set to come back in action from 12 June.
As per a report by ET Bureau, while malls were permitted to reopen from 8 June, DLF delayed the reopening of its malls in order to prepare better for safety guidelines to ensure a safe experience to the customers.
