We have seen quite a few people from Apple making a shift to the fashion industry, most notably Chief Executive Angela Ahrendts, moving to Burberry and now it is Apple Executive, Ian Rogers who has been hired as the new Chief Digital Officer by LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault. “I am happy to welcome Ian into our group to strengthen our digital ecosystem. Ian will bring his extensive experience in high-end digital ventures and his innovation-driven spirit to develop LVMH leadership in the digital luxury field,” said Arnault.
Rogers founded Mediacode, which was then purchased by Yahoo, where he became Vice President and General Manager of music. From there he was enlisted as CEO of Topspin Media, where he spent five years, before becoming Chief Executive Officer of Beats Music. He joined Apple’s iTunes team last year as its Senior Director, before briefly overseeing the launch of Apple Music.
