In association with Myntra Jabong India Pvt. Ltd. (MJIPL), the B2B wholesale entity of Myntra and other franchisee partners, NEXT, a British fashion brand, has announced the official launch of its Exclusive Brand Store (EBO) in India. MJIPL, as part of its strategic collaboration with NEXT, has obtained the licensed rights to distribute the brand’s range of products and the brand’s rights to its licensed franchisee partners for opening and operating stores, while scaling NEXT’s omnichannel presence in India.
NEXT has over 460 UK stores, 265 international franchise outlets and an online presence in 80 countries across the globe. The India store is 7100 sq.ft . and is located in Pune.
NEXT will broaden its reach beyond standalone locations by establishing shop-in-shop formats at multi-brand retail stores like Shoppers Stop. This is in addition to the establishment of Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs). In collaboration with MJIPL’s licensed franchisee partners, NEXT plans to open more than 50 points of sale (EBOs and shop-in-shop formats) throughout India in the next five to six years. Important Indian cities that are in the pipeline include Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Venu Nair, Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Omnichannel, Myntra said, “Our strategic collaboration with NEXT provides Indian consumers with access to the brand’s globally acclaimed collections. Renowned for unparalleled designs and quality, across women’s, men’s and childrenswear, the brand has been instrumental in addressing consumer gaps within the fashion market across various categories. Specifically in childrenswear, the premium children’s fashion market is currently underserved, offering limited options for fashion-conscious parents.”
A spokesperson from NEXT stated that the opening of the brand’s first store in Pune marks an important turning point of its partnership with Myntra, further adding that they are really excited to present NEXT’s retail experience to Indian consumers, providing them direct access to the brand’s latest collections.
