Campari Exports, Gurgaon is expanding its manufacturing capacity by adding a new factory in Faridabad which will be spread out in an area of almost one lakh square feet. Construction of the factory is going on and the company is hopeful of starting production in the next six months. Already having two units in Faridabad, BSCI, Sedex and Primark certified Campari Exports chose Faridabad for further expansion as it offers cheaper land compared to Gurgaon, besides it is convenient too.
Manufacturing ladies and kidswear, the company will produce both the product segments at the new factory also. Total investment in the new factory is near to Rs. 25 crore. Talking about growth plans Sunil Mehra, Director of the company says, “Though labour is becoming very expensive in DelhiNCR and with other options like Bangladesh there, convenience does matter a lot as it is not just to make money. We need more infrastructures for textile processing, printing which can produce fabrics comparable with China. There is an acute shortage of good process houses in the region.” The group is expecting Rs. 100 crore turnovers in the current fiscal. As a CSR effort, the company is also involved in social work and support programs for orphanages.
