Focusing on how India should position itself as a key supplier of home, lifestyle, fashion, furniture and textiles products, a webinar ‘Sourcing India – the Awakened Tiger’ was held during 49th edition of IHGF-Delhi virtual fair.
The webinar was organised jointly by Buying Agents Association and Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH).

It was highlighted by experts that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is driving the world economy to retreat from global economic integration. Policymakers and business leaders are now questioning whether global supply chains have been stretched too far.
In an environment where alliances are uncertain and international cooperation is sub-optimal, countries are thinking whether they should reduce their economic interdependence. The world economy is at a critical inflection point in history where fears of dependence on others are growing.
Participants also shared their experience about working with Indian exporters and problems being faced by them so that exporting community make themselves ready and improve upon the same to present India as a major sourcing hub in near future.
