Gunina Solutions (GS), a skill development firm dedicated to apparel and textile industry, has planned to create 100 entrepreneurs for the industry in FY 2017-18 through its training wing ‘GS Skilling Accelerator’ which works in collaboration with Integrated Skill Development Scheme (ISDS). A scheme by Ministry of Textiles (MoT), India, ISDS has led to an upsurge in social entrepreneurship among various stakeholders including, Mobilization Agencies, Training Agencies, Assessment and Certification Agencies as well as Placement Agencies.
Working with ISDS as a training partner, Gunina is currently partnering with an Implementing Agency called Clothing Manufacturer Association of India (CMAI) under Component-II of ISDS, while in Component-III (state sponsored) the company is a partner of SPINFED, Odisha. Thus, through collaborative efforts, it plans to achieve the qualitative and quantitative target of training about 1,00,000 youth in next one year.

Talking exclusively to Apparel Resources about this training plan, Shalabh Srivastava, Founder, Gunina Solutions, says, “To achieve this target GS is in process of creating an incubator for 100 or more aspiring youths, SME companies, NGOs, agencies, institutions, etc. to undergo the complete learning cycle on investment needs, technical know-how, documentary requirements, budgeting and planning, networking and channel partner management, presentation techniques, project closure formalities, fund utilization aspects and financial jurisprudence.”
Further, GS Skilling Accelerator will create a platform with adequate infrastructure and human resource to prepare the brigade of aspiring entrepreneurs. For this, GS has plans to invite experienced technical graduates from NIFT, Pearl, AIM, TISS, XLRI, XISS, etc. to participate in this endeavour.
“In nut shell, Gunina Solutions wants to play the role of a catalyst in skill development industry by joining and filling the missing links, thus helping the nation reach its mandate by 2022,” concludes Shalabh.
