The ITL Group (ITL), a South Africa based supplier of Apparel Label Solutions, will enter into a joint venture with Codes and Labels Ltd, a privately owned Bangladesh supplier of labels, packaging and trims. Following the JV, Codes and Labels’ printing and label operations have been absorbed into ITL Bangladesh with immediate effect.
Fred Christopher, ITL’s CEO and Global Operations Head, remarked, “With many retailers making long term sourcing commitments to Bangladesh, we decided that this was the right time to enter this important region and extend our global reach for our customers with a reputed partner like Codes and Labels.” Commenting on the joint venture agreement, Codes & Labels Managing Director, Monir Khan, said, “As customer demand for greater supply chain transparency and corporate compliance increases, it is time for us to embrace the benefits offered by a larger global organisation.”
