Universal Sports India, Jallandhar is the biggest manufacturer of boxing equipments in the country with 55 years of experience in the industry. The company has been approved by the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation as official suppliers of boxing equipment used in all domestic competitions. Other than its primary business which comes from being an exporter to markets like Europe and Australia for eminent brands like Everlast and Longsdale, the company is also an established name in the domestic market with availability at more than 250 organized retail stores.
The company has recently decided to venture into the sportswear market as well and has setup a new factory for the purpose. It is an independent unit with running assembly lines and well trained staff with understanding of garment setup. Anurag Chaddha, Director, Universal Sports India clarifies, “At present we are not looking for buyers for our apparels. We plan to supply the sportswear only to those buyers who are already buying boxing equipments from us.”
