The Change Masters Conference 2022 is scheduled to take place on 19 and 20 July 2022 at Lonavala (Maharashtra).
The event, brainchild of Yusuf Dohadwala, Founder, Peppermint Communications, and CEO, Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI), believes that the rapidly changing scenario of the market – from product development and manufacturing to consumer demand and retailing – is instrumental in putting India on the global map.
The event will witness owners of 100+ intimatewear brands, factories and retail stores, gathering under one roof to network, discuss, learn and unlearn.
Speaking about The Change Masters 2022, he said, “The innerwear industry– the fastest growing segment of the Indian textile and apparel industry – is further poised for growth and hence is attracting interest from large organisations. The fast growth of this segment is sure to bring disruption, which calls for future leaders or what we call the “Change Masters” to gather under one roof to discuss and prepare for this disruption and growth. The Change Masters will also help the Millennials and Gen Y leaders to network and talk business.”
He further added that the event is a first-of-its-kind business conference for the intimatewear market that will be featuring panel discussions, presentations, networking meets and knowledge sharing sessions.
While the attendees are under 45, the speakers at the Conference are ones with immense experience in branding, manufacturing and retail from the intimatewear industry as well as other verticals.
The panelists and presenters will be ‘under 40’ young brigade of the innerwear industry. The name ‘The Change Masters’ implies young leadership, expertise and business acumen and the need to work for the larger good of the industry.
It is worth mentioning here that the global lingerie market is expected to grow by US $ 20.90 billion from 2021 to 2026, progressing at a CAGR of 4.77 per cent during the forecast period, according to a study by Technavio.
The APAC region is expected to contribute 41 per cent in this growth. This clearly indicates the important role that India is going to play in the intimatewear market in the years to come. In India, this sector will continue to grow at 15 per cent CAGR for the next 10 years, thereby bringing in larger opportunities and challenges.
