J-Teck3, an Italian digital inks supplier, has announced the launch of a completely new series of Digital Textile Pigment inks for EPSON and KYOCERA Print heads and will be unveiling these at next month’s FESPA 2017 trade show, which will take place from 8 to 12 May 2017 in Germany, for printing and imagery.
The new ‘J-TEX’ pigments are water-based inks, designed to work in printers with piezo-electric printheads, and will be available in two different versions – J-TEX P-E is fully compatible with EPSON Print heads, whereas J-TEX P-K is compatible with KYOCERA Print heads.

Designed for direct printing on a variety of fabrics (including cotton, cotton/poly blends, synthetic fabrics and viscose), J-Teck3 says the ink can be used in many applications; the most common being in the fashion and home furnishings (clothes, sofa covering, cushions, curtains) market.
The pigments are manufactured in nine different colours, each containing a specific binder which is said to allow for good printability, wash and rub fastness properties. Also, the use of a specific pre-treatment will reportedly increase the printing results, allowing for improved colours, higher definition and better fabric adhesion.
Also on display during FESPA will be the company’s other solutions for sublimation and direct printing on polyester – including ‘J-CUBE’, ‘J-NEXT SUBLY’, J-LUX’, and the ‘J-ECO’ range.
“We’re very excited about our new J-TEX PIGMENTS; they are the result of J-Teck 3’s steady attention to the evolution of digital printing to meet the growing demands of the textile market,” said Luca Guggiari, J-Teck3 Brand R&D Manager.
