The sustainable fashion brand Raw Mango has unveiled their collaboration with Aditi Mangaldas to shed light on the Indian art community that has been facing severe problems.
A set of six films called ‘Within… from within…’ have been released by Raw Mango with Teamwork Fine Arts Society’s ‘Art Matters’ initiative along with Aditi Mangaldas.
The films show Aditi performing a Kathak routine with members of Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company.
These films are aimed to provide funds to the local artists that have been struggling due to the pandemic. Many such local artists who have lost their jobs and livelihood due to the lockdown have been left stranded with strict guidelines against gathering of groups of people.
Raw Mango’s founder Sanjay Garg was seen urging their customers to support the initiative to raise awareness in the already diminishing Indian art fraternity.
Raw Mango has opened up funds where people can donate any amount, all of which will go to these artists.
Started in 2008, Raw Mango has been a prominent voice that has been supporting artisans from around India through their design philosophy that speaks volumes about slow fashion and the culture of Indian handlooms.
Raw Mango has 3 stores in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru with their presence in various multi-brand outlets like Ogaan, Elahe and Good Earth.
